How to launch programs or documents

A powerful new feature in Zip Explorer 3.0 is the ability to launch files just like you do in Windows Explorer. There are three ways you can do it: In the screenshot below, the file CA009\CUG\cppf77.wri has been selected. If the disk labeled CA009 is in the drive, the file will be opened immediately. If the disk is not in the drive, Zip Explorer will ask you to insert it.

When the disk is recognised, the file will be opened using the program associated with the file type of the selected file, since the "open" alternative was used. In this case it means that WordPad will be used (assuming WordPad is associated with .wri files). You can also use the "Send To Notepad" alternative which bypasses the file type association, and always uses Notepad to open the selected file.

Launching files that reside within zip files
Use the exact same procedure as described above. Zip Explorer will launch the zip file instead of the selected file. The program associated with .zip files (typically WinZip, if installed) will be used to launch the .zip file.
